Meadowfield Interior Design was born in the mind of Janet Kibler, a designer with an eye for utilizing each and every inch of a room and creating a sleek and modern design that will wow. Janet designs for you. Whether you want clean and contemporary or traditional and romantic, Janet catches the vision you have for your space and makes it a reality.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Janet comes from a long line of visual artists. Though she originally pursued a degree in the sciences, an elective opened her eyes to the beauty she could create in someone's living space. With her newfound passion and the inspiration she drew from creating the look and feel of a room, she pursued a degree in Commercial Design from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. She served as the Vice President of the Marymount Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers and participated in the Alternative Design Showcase for Guest House, Alexandria in 2004. She graduated Cum Laude and was inducted as a member of Delta Epsilon Honor Society.
Janet completed an internship at the prestigious firm, Hughes Design Associates, under Pamela Hughes. She gained five years of experience under the mentorship of the brilliant J. Paul Lobkovich of Lobkovich Kitchen Designs located in Tysons Corner, Virginia, a firm named in the top one hundred firms in the metro area by "Home and Design Magazine's Portfolio-Top 100 Designers".
With over twelve years of interior design experience, she has since left the corporate world to strike out on her own. Her firm, Meadowfield Interior Design specializes in space planning and custom kitchen and bath design.
